got a 62-68 283 or 307 block? here's a recipe camquest6 style.... bore to 3.90" using oem 346 cube gen [3] pistons [or over size after market pistons, as bore is needed] use gen [2] 265 cube 5.94" long con rods. L-98 vette alloy heads fitted with 1.94 x 1.60 valves. weiand team-g street ram manifold [single plane-360 degree] fitted with a holley commander 950 cfm throttle body injector, guzzling 87 octane fuel, and sipping from a water/methanol injector. use a 3.75" stroke 2.45" main pin [383] crank. it drops in the 307, but grind the mains to 2.30" to fit the 283 crank tunnel. this makes 358 cubes and 11.5 compression ratio. 1.75" tube headers. 1.5 ratio roller rockers. i chose to use a solid flat tappet cam just because. comp cams #12-225-4, with specs of.... 260 degrees duration at 0.050, 110 degrees LSA, 0.555" gross valve lift. one step colder spark plugs in the four middle cylinders. mr.camquest6 told me a secret, sh it's .....496 horse power @6,500 rpms, and 463 LBS. FT. @5,000 rpms. Ooo  Cool
