Recently purchased a sweet 1970 Camaro that has been tagged as an SS. Pretty sure it's not true SS, but the builder did a fantastic job! He even found a 1970 LS3 396 engine from a '70 Chevelle SS and had it built right, My problem... It's just loud! Any opinions on a muffler system that would make it a more comfortable car to car occasionally around town, all the while without being the target of lots of tickets! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
a couple ideas for you... go to the speedway motors web site, and youll find collector insert baffles, this is step one, step 2 is use an x-pipe,or H type cross over pipe to connect the two sides together [this changes the tone and reduces the sound level]. for mufflers my personal choice would be the flowmaster 3 chamber big block series. ....good luck to you with what ever you choose
