Just re-read the article about the trans in the 68 Nova project and realized the Turbo 400 Switch Pitch converter setup was used. I ran this in a 78 Monte Carlo behind a 406 that made about 550HP and I loved it. Only difference is that I wired mine to the brake light switch so I could control it with my left foot. I set the brake light switch to come on with only slight movement of the pedal. Worked great and didn't need my hands to do it.
