I really got a kick reading about Brent Perez's Challenger. THAT'S what Hot Rodding USE to be about. The regular who loves Muscle Cars but is on a strict budget and yet he builds a car that is great looking and performs. Plus, he did most of the work himself including having to learn new skills which will serve him well in a few years. I'm 60 years old and I've owned and built three 1969 AMC AMX's all with the 390 engine and BW T-10 tranny. I've also owned two Gremlins. One was a 1972 Gremlin X with the factory 304 V8 3-speed. I built that car on budget and replaced the 3-speed with, you guessed it.. the BW T-10. There wasn't anything really fancy about these cars, but I never lost a race on the street or on the track.
I wish you guys would more, many more, articles about cars like Brent's. Practical Touring, guys, that's what it's about. Thanks.

Just because you can't do it...doesn't mean its impossible
