Does any one here take their car out to the track and show those imports, that american muscle can handle as well as they can take down the quarter mile?
i run my 64 chevelle ss atleast once a year in scca solo 2 events at firebird raceway i run a beck raceing 383 tko 600 all global west suspension bear brakes nitto nto1 245 45zr17 tires its great to see the looks on peoples faces with the times i can pull off
I sure do. Usually at least once a year, sometimes twice. Money and time are an issue, of course. But I think it's the most fun you can have with your clothes on! A drivers' school, Friday at the Track, whatever, driving on a road course wide open for 20-30 minute sessions is SOOOOO much more fun than getting a few 12 second runs at the drag strip on a Saturday evening. IMO, anyway.Petehttp://alteredz.com

the best $2000 speed part, ever, is a driving course. Your football coach didn't make you Cassova when he taught you SexEd, and he didn't make you Mario Andretti teaching you DriverEd.Repeated track practice makes you a better driver, but if its your daily driver, check your insurance...a crash on the track may not get covered.
Just because you can't do it...doesn't mean its impossible
Yea I take my daily driver a 99 mustang gt to the track as mush as I can. I've installed a I.R.S. unit in the rear with 3.73 gears. Changed all bushing's in the front and rear suspension. I built it handle, and it does. It's a little under powered but I'm building new to fix that. The building goes on. good luck at the track and keep the shinny side up. John

Yes, I take my 65 Impala to the track, 1/4 mile and autocross. I even drive it 400 miles then race it that night. Anyone who says their car can't is just a weenie.

I take mt 75 TA to autocross events. I also drag race it a couple times a year. The problem I have is, the car can outdo the driver. With all the mods I am put into the Mario Andretti class. Raw time I finish in the middle. When my index is factored in, well not so good. I do have more fun than most. Me autocrossing.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0VIkyYqroIAt the drag strip. http://s741.photobucket.com/albums/xx58/taman1975/Trans%20Am/?action=view¤t=TA1150.mp4
