hi to all of you from saudi arabia. i am trying to get back into my old hobby after a 25 year break... my last project was a '64 ford fairlane when i was a college student back in austin, texas in 1986...i am now living and working in saudi arabia. choice of project cars are very limited here. someone recently offered me a 1967 Buick Riviera. I like what it looks like on paper, but have not seen it yet.Does anyone have any experience with this car? Any suggestions/comments/advice, pros/cons? Any problems with parts availability? Getting parts exported from the U.S. is not an issue... Thanks in advance for any replies. Let me know if I am in the wrong forum :-)
hopefully over in that sandbox, your internet system isn't getting the zipper popup we get here... back to your question, your Riv has potential, check Kenne Bell and Poston and TA Performance. Some chevy suspension parts may swap, if you're missing stuff, but not a whole lot. Check with Global West, et al. make sure that car is COMPLETE, so if you have to get a chevy air conditioning condenser let's say, you have the buick part there to compare it to as far as bolt hole placement, etc. pay more now for a working car, pay a lot less later.
Just because you can't do it...doesn't mean its impossible
GTOMUSTANG - many thanks for the thumbs up... over here, 'getting' the net is a blessing to begin with, therefore, no complaints
