Good luck on your goals, it's a lot of work putting a cage in a street car & still have it completely streetable... I'm sure your figuring that out..

Looking at the Roll Cage Install today and noticed the CPU relocation was clearly visible. The shots I took at the time of install were mostly of my friend using foul language.  Enjoy

Looks pretty good, you may want to look at the 5th & 6th photo down from the top make sure the main battery wire isn't going to rub on a sharp edge or something thru the rear trunk bulkhead... Not trying to be over critical or anything just an observation...

CAN ANYONE COMMENT ON WHAT MY SET UP COULD YIELD ...... '79 305 WITH
9370 HEADS, EDLEBROCK INTAKE AND 4BBL CARB.  Don't know anything about cam, pistons yet as just purchased car.  It's in a '74 260z roadster conversion with a saginaw 4 speed and hurst short throw shifter. stock headers into straight magnaflow ss dual out eshaust.  Edlebrock valve covers also.

I know, I know it's a 305, but, it's also in a 2000lb. car.  I'm just getting
started and trying to find out my baseline.  Builder spent some time on this as
why put these heads and other adds noted above without touching lower components.
Haven't had a chance to peek inside yet.

1st off welcome to PHR forum, we would need quite a bit more information you should start a new thread with some more specifics...  You really need to know what carburetor CFM, intake & exhaust valve sizes, what head gasket thickness for compression, what bore size, what size cc combustion chambers, what deck height is the pistons in the bore, what compression ratio (a 1979 305ci SBC is probably a low compression 8:1 to 8.5:1 low HP cast piston, way down in the bore), what "exact camshaft specs", solid or hydraulic cam, what rockers & ratios, what exhaust sizes, headers sizes, what Edelbrock 4bbl intake., what intake & exhaust port volumes, etc. , there are way too many variables to just throw out a number & to give a decent guess on HP & it would still be just a guess... "maybe" as high as 225-275hp max as equipped with information supplied... It could be more or less depending on what exactly you have...  Good luck with your project sounds like fun..

+1 welcome to the forum. We got the car on the dyno last night. Good news is she held 21 lbs of boost with no falling off so the cog drive works great. Also the Moroso remote electric water pump kept the ECT at a steady 185-190 through the session, I highly recommend that product. On the down side the injectors maxed out. We are going to have to go to 190 lbs injectors to keep up with the 21 lbs of boost. IATs were through the roof so we have some work to do there yet. We also discovered a breaker box in the rear mount battery install was just not robust enough to survive the vibrations and we will have to work out an alternative to that. Car made 775/850 to the wheels with 12 degrees of timing in a best of two pulls. We get the injectors sorted out and work on the IATs we will hit at it again.

Ethyl's sounding really good, Impressive numbers... Now after saying that... I have a few concerned questions...  Just the kind of stuff to make sure you are safe...  can the bottom end handle that kind of boost ?  billet or minimum quality forged crank & h-beam rods at least, forged blower specific pistons, steel main caps, quality oil system, durable valves & spings, etc.,   Are you using, aluminum break away studs for mounting the blower for back fires & a pop off valve of some sort for over pressure (so it won't blow the valve covers, heads & intake manifold/blower off the thing, with a little sneeze/cough, back fire from fuel system, a lifter failure, Intake valve or ignition problem, etc., you will have serious issues),  are you running o-ring groves & stainless o-rings in the block deck ?  & solid copper head gaskets ?  what kind of cylinder pressure are you at(ala compression) ?  then what is it at the 21/lbs of boost ?  do you have an ignition retard system when the engine is making boost (at anything over 7-8/lbs minimum) ?  at that level your at now, you should be using all of those things to be "somewhat safe", save the engine from any catastrophic failures & not be driving "a grenade with the pin pulled so to speak", I speak from experience on the subject... I wish you well, be safe, Ethyl sounds really great... Keep up the good work...

We are right at 9:1 on compression. The engine was purpose built for boost by Texas Speed. I will get the build sheet out and lay it out. Everything is forged and plated/coated.

wrp that's good, at least it was purpose built for a blower... Your getting into high boost #'s now, I don't want to see you have any major issues... Keep us posted

Of course the only reason we built her was to play with her
