This is the first time I am posting here. Actually I am looking for some advice. I have a 77 chevy pickup truck and just put a 530HP Pat Musi race engine in it. I am running a 700R4 w/2300 stall and 373 posi. I currently have 295-50/15's and not even close to planting it. Just installed the Calvert Caltracs and helps a little to keep it going straight at launch, on the street, but still no hook up. I will be going to the track maybe once a season, the rest is car shows and cruises with anything that comes to the traffic light (as this will be my track) during my travels. I hear MT drag radials work well but wear very quick. I know that any drag radial will work better than what I have now but I am trying to find the best for the street with some longevity. Nitto, Hoosier, BFG are some that I am researching. Any help would be appreciated.

I've had mt's and bfg's (drag radials) under boost I'm hard on both but to be honest I do like the bfg tire, seems to wear a bit better than the mt. I can make a bit over 1300 hp at 15 pounds of boost, hope this helps !!!

Try Hy-Lux #1296 satin black. It's waterborne and it's acrylic resin. Easy to spray on. this with water to your liking. Check it out. It's modified house paint! A friend uses it on big-rigs. Good luck.
