They are not the run of the mill cookie cutter mag.It has something for everyone.I am mainly a Chevy guy but do like Buicks,Cadillac's Fords and Mopar's too. (I own 7 vehicles My wife's 02 Venture, My 03 ext cab Silverado our daily drivers,Still have my first car a 1980 Buick LeSabre coupe,1979 Malibu Landau,1987 Caprice Landau LS,1987 Silverado Choo Choo custom, and a 1993 Ford Ranger)I would like to see more big 80's Chevys and Buicks maybe a sleeper prodject, also G-BODYS! Getting Very Bored whith Camaro's,Nova's,Chevelle's,and Vette's they are nice but think of it this way only have one model pose for every fashion mag etc... that exists and only have her change her wardrobe, hair style & color, that's boring, not here, they mix it up. Guess you can say it's my favorite mag. I love the under construction section it gives me ideas.I am a machinist by trade but my passion is my vehicles, it's tough juggling a family, four prodject rides and no garage.I like to think out of the box and do something original for each ride and making a few custom parts for my friends and myself saving us cold hard to come by cash. You do'nt have to buy all new parts to have a cool ride just some sense and some elbo grease,LOL!
the best way to get oddball cars into mags, is for both you and your buddies to build 'em and bring 'em to car shows. That gets the ball rolling, and b/c you like grandpa cars (that could use the chevy 9-C-1 cop car suspension parts), its possible to find a relatively-low mileage example that the old guy parked when he couldn't drive anymore...haunt the retirement homes and churches, for those interested.typically, the paint is salvagable--you don't need candy blue to get noticed in a hot rod version of one of these--and the spotwelds haven't been popped from trying Jungle Jim burnouts in the school parking lot. Grab some big rims from an SUV someone's trying to dub out, to get your big car to scale and fill out those wheel wells, do a basic 350 buildup, buff out the stock paint and cruise the summer in style!
Just because you can't do it...doesn't mean its impossible
