I recently bought an 89 Vette and I am planning on installing an LT-1 intake on the car. I see that Popular Hot Rodding did an article on it titled..TPI Intake Conversion - Unleash the Beast - Converting your TPI intake over to an LT1 is easier than you think - By Tom Casey...but I'd like to find the issue it was in, does anybody know the year and month it was printed?

tpis.com makes a minniram intake that has the same configuration, short runner, as the lt1 intake, but the advantage is it flows better, after machining the back of the factory intake, to make even a small cap distributor fit you might be better off that way. prices might be comparable. jeepers i'd just get turbo's or a supercharger, and keep the long runner. why give up all that midrange?. i know thats not answering your question. but it's something to think about. before you decide, go to, comp cams website and see article "ten times the torque". you might find it enlightening. and i believe it was in hotrod mag that did that article. try googling it i got boxes full of there mags, it would take me a few hrs to find it...
