The photo contest guidelines have just been published in the September issue, which just hit the newsstand. I'll bump this to the top to see if there are any new questions...  

If we submit a picture of a car with a girl is that picture considered part of the 5 required or is that considered an extra picture for your special ladies-only section? I agree that "Hot rods and cute girls go together" but they can distact from the car!

If the car is ok, but the girl is hot, you're damn right, it can distract from the car, but isn't that the point? You can certainly argue that when a guy spends too much time with his car (is that even possible?) his lady is much more likely to try and distract her man away from it.

To answer your question, "yes" that picture is part of the five images.  

I have a question regarding location...should the 5 pictures be from the same location or can we pick 5 different locations to submit the best pic from each location?

It's not necessary that the five images be from different locations. It's more important that you pick one really good location.  

When will everyone who entered know whether or not they made it?  

I want to thank you and Popular Hot Rodder for the photo contest this year as I know it was a lot of hard choices. I do have one question as to why my 1967 AMC Rebel was disqualified? I know it is not the Rebel as it has won back to back Good Guys events and also won best of show this year at the AMC international event. I fill out the cover sheet, tech sheet, 5 different printed photos and included 5 digital shots of the prints on a disc. I spent some time getting all of this together and was disappointed not to see my car with the others. I do know you did include AMC cars as a few made it in but would sure like to know what I did wrong. I hope there was not to many AMC to GM so you had to cut some off. (just kidding) I did also include some info on my friends Rambler Ranch car collection with over 600 cars hoping you might think about the other cars made besides GM as his collection is the largest Nash, Rambler, & AMC collection in the world.
