Hi Guys,

Long time reader and finally have something to offer up here..

We're currently building a 2010 Camaro SS for wheel-to-wheel road racing in NASA's American Iron series and hopeful to be homologated into the SCCA's American Sedan class.

Check out the build site/blog here if you're interested;
http://www.CarriageHouseCustoms.com

We will be putting up a gallery of over 300 images of the car in various stages of disassembly.  Along with that - we are weighing every component of the car and documenting it.  That information will be made available as well.
The car (SS-1) weighed in at 3840# with 3/4 tank of fuel.
The rear suspension (including the carriage) weighed in at 390# alone.

I'm very impressed by this car and when comparing it to my 1969 Camaro-SS, I find there is no comparison.  My 69 drives and handles like a truck compared to this beauty..

Enjoy..

Regards - Randy

Hi Guys,

Don't know what happened to my Big-Foot account - it won't let me log in anymore.
I re-registered under this handle instead..

We will be using the stock engine with a good tune on it and a set of headers.  The goal is to bring the weight of the car down to the point where it will perform as good or better than a high horsepower upgrade.

Our Website -
We exceded our bandwidth and are working with the website host to get our website moved to a higher tier (another server).  We'll be back soon as we have a LOT to share with you..

Regards - Randy

Hi Guys,

We made some more updates after I had the website re-hosted on a larger and faster server.

We're still working on getting all the component weights logged into a spreadsheet and then onto the website.

Just an FYI -

The Tremec TR6060 weighs a svelt 156#
It's cooled by an oil cooler in the radiator and the pump is (hold on now) the Power Steering pump.  Yes - it shares the same fluid as the Power steering rack...

The roll cage started going in this week and will be finished soon..  We're hoping to have this car done in time for the NASA Nationals...
