Mod Motor Moves

I just read this article and I gotta say B.S.
My company builds alot of these cars that put down more power than 340 on our mustang dyno and will run no where near 6.99 in the 1/8th.

I have an 01 gt stock 2v with twin turbos that puts down 450whp on a mustang dyno thru an auto that runs 10.93. I gotta call B.S.

Was there a huge correction or car that weighs 2200lbs?

The thing is just because you have 450 rwhp doesnt mean that you will be fast in the 1/4 mile.  This car is very dialed in.  It weighs 3180 with driver and pulls an average 60' of 1.46 !  

If you still want to call BS below is a 1/4 mile pass at the new Zmax Dragway in Concord NC.  I build purpose built machines that proform!

I think the article should say the car weighs 3180 with driver and that the elevation at the track is 630 feet. It is very misleading to the average reader.
My Mustang gets 1.45 60' and weighs 3580 with driver. Our elevation is 2150ft.
Your car runs good and I appreciate the clarification.
I will also say that as a shop that has a Mustang dyno I applaud you for not going to a Dynojet to get higher numbers for the article. Also I am jealous, I would kill to be friends with David Vizard.

I can also say this car has made me a believer! I am friends with Andy(the owner of the car) and have seen this car do some amazing things. I have since came up with a solution for all NA 2 valve 4.6 cars that are trying to make power, and that is put a carb on it. haha
