I am nearing the end of my deployement to Iraq. The articles in your magazine have been a refreshing change for me from the maintenance manuals for helicopters.  Something to read when I am off instead of my books for my online classes when I need a break. I have a wife and a step-son at home who calls me dad.  I am fortunate that I found a definate keeper and got a second amazing person in my life at the same time.
My wife wants me to keep my Ducati 996. That is cool enough on its own.  But get this.. She wants me and her son to build a classic car for him.  We will start the process next year when he is 12 and be done around his 16th birthday.  Right now he is leaning towards building camaro that "looks like the classic in transformers"    He is a well behaved and responsible kid.  Driving something he has been doing much of the work on for four years will make him even more responsible with it. I am thinking of using a stock ls1 vintage f body powertrain.
I am also considering building a car of my own.  I want something unique and potent that can be filed under the protouring genre.  The most interesting idea I have is building a protouring first generation Pontiac Tempest. I want to retain having a rear transaxle and have great suspension at all four corners. So my game plan is to fabricate C5 suspension and drivetrain under the car. I plan on building a mean LS series engine for it. Thanks for the awesome magazine.
