I know there has been alot of talk about comp cams new thumpr cam shaft and how it's just a show car cam and just for sound. The truth is it's actually a great sounding cam with awesome performance. You can check out http://www.compcams.com/thumpr/default.asp and http://www.zz4.com and cleary see it's not just a show car cam. You could even call comp cams and they will tell you. I recently bought a mutha thumpr cam for my 427 bbc and we finally got everything fired up today and it has a very wicked idle and best of all it runs very well on the street. As long as your timing is set up properly and you have the correct valvetrain componets it will throw you back in your seat. I had my doubts when I bought it even after talking to comp cams but now I absolutely love it. It doesn't affect performance or streetability at all.

Sad that I have seen this exact post and user name, with a word for word posting on several other car/hot rod forums while trying to research this cam. unpaid from of advertisement? Hard to believe someone would join all the car forums just to copy paste the same message and not be an advertiser.
