I am about to buy a set of patriot or pro comp aluminum heads for my 1999 roller sb chevy with hydraulic lifters to drop into my 1934 Ford Woody street rod and I had the cam custom ground to:
lift in=452 ex=465
dur in=270 ex=276 I wanted something that was not to hot but still was faster and sounded better than stock and I am not sure on the goodies to order when I have the heads assembled....Anybody got any sugestions??????

Do you have the specs on the heads I ask because with that small of a cam you may not see a big difference with a high flowing head it may acually hurt the performance.

You should be using a bigger cam with those heads.

Will it be completely unusable? Which cam would you recommend. Specs/brand perhaps??? Sincerely, Jesse

Well you can use a set of 1.65 ratio roller rockers and it will give you a .497/.511 lift.

The rollers that have are only .50,, do I need .65?? and can I still use 100 over push rods.

The 1.65 ratio rockers will give you more lift. Yes you can still use the longer push rods if the heads require them.

What if i do not use 1.65 and stay with 1.50 what will happen and why is it needed with this particular setup?? Sincerely Jesse

I recomended the 1.65 just to give you more lift because the cam you have doesn't have enough lift to take advantage of the larger flowing ports on the heads you are getting.
