I have a world products small block 400 with billet spalayed caps as a foundation i want to build a 427-434ci motor for drag race only, i am thinking high compression pistons, jesel belt drive jesel shaft mount rockers and solid roller. My huge dilema is which heads should i use and also what crank and rods etc. iam trying to make a 3000lb car go 8s, what parts would be the best for performance and relyablity thanks guys.

OK, I have brain fade...world products, don't they make Dart heads too?

Regardless, pick a head company you hear good things about, ask them for a recommendation and a cam to go with it.  The lower the revs, the more reliability you get, generally speaking.  So focus on head flow, you can always change cams for more, and its cheaper to change the cams or just rocker arm ratios.

and of course, get an intake manifold to go with it...and header recommendations.  Heads won't help if the exhaust gas flow stalls out in the primary of a poorly chosen header.
