I love the new Challenger and have been waiting 2 years for it to come out My plan was to sell or trade in my 98 Corvette to get the Challenger. My problem is the 13/18 MPG. On a crecent 1400 mile trip in my Corvette, I averaged 31.4 MPG. With the 0-60 at 4.9 sec and 1/4 mile at 13.3, I can still outrun the SRT8 with 350HP.Can I order the Challenger with a LS1 or even better LS7 engine? Please help me. I really want a new Challenger, but the old vette is looking good.

Hahaha I'm pretty sure LS1 and LS7 motors aren't going to be factory options! Heck with mopar prices where they are right now, if you buy the Challenger it should be worth a small fortune in 30-40 years!

Well  if you wait until Sept,  you will get all the fuel economy and sucky power you want when you order a new Challenger with a V-6.  Or,  at that time you could get the smaller hemi V-8 with displacement control.  That will give you better power and better economy,  but you will never be able to touch the engine.  Your choice.

I would prefer to buy the killer machine and ride a bike in the winter

You know I never thought about that Displacement controlled motors, are pretty much useless to builders.
