I own a 69 camaro that made PHR cover in the early 70's, the car may have been taken at Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, WI or Chicago, IL. Is there any archives at PHR of the early 70'S, or any drag fans with old copies from back then? I have old photos but never seen the magazine issue myself.  

I'm not familar with it, and without a month and a year, I won't be able to verify it for you.  

My camaro was a drag car from day one, with a couple thousand miles on it,(quarter mile runs)when I got it. The driver and passenger doors were painted with the name "Lil'l Boss" on them, the quarter panels had sponsors painted on them in large letters: Pennzoil and Dale Chevrolet (local dealership), and the front fenders across the top half: Buttitta's Performance Specialists,Butler, Wis. The body paint changed at least once, gold with a 70's green fish-scale insert or maroon with red tops. After talking to one of many owners he said that someone told him it was either 1970 or 1971 it was pictured in PHR. If you would like a picture get my e-mail off the server and e-mail me.
