Why haven't we seen any BBF stroker builds or budget builds in your mag.? I built a 532, with a D9TE block, for a great price. I know there a lot of BBF guys out there that would like to see the hp and esp. the torque #'s these builds can achive.

Good question, besides you and I, there has got to a lot more ford fan out there looking. I'm building a 30 over,700hp street 460 for my 1956 F100 p/u and I'm looking for ways to solve oiling problems at the rear main bearings that I saw in a Jim Grubbs Motorsports 460 build article mike-j

hmmm it seems i missed that artical....
460s have a oil passage on the top rear of the motor where many apps have a oil pressure switch... is there a filtered oil port somewhere else on the motor that can be routed to that to supply extra oil... maybe via the oil filter adaptor...
or does this go deeper and the rod oiling holes are too big in the crank and taking away too much of the volume to supply the rods???
there are partially grooved main bearings for some applications... i am not talking about a upper shell that has a groove to the parting line.. i am talking about a groove that is cut with a smaller diameter cutter than the inside of the main bearing bore.. so it tapers to either side and does not go as far as the parting line...
when i build a sbc i go in to the oil passages with a 5/16" carbide ball on a long shank... so i can round out the internal corners to help the flow... then brush out and flush out every thing..... i have not put a ford 460 on the stand in a while.. so i dont remember the oiling routes...

Well I didn't know that the BBF had a rear main oiling problem. My friend is a machinist and a BBF racer, 1,000 hp before nos. He did have me port out the oil filter feed hole to get the 90 deg. drill bend in the block out and feed more oil, also put the cam bearings in with the oil hole on the opposite side and the drill through. Are you using a D1 block or a D9TE? are you using an after market oil pan?
