Excuse my ignorance of this question but... what would happen if you removed the center pins that go into the top of the leaf spring on a 3rd Gen Nova? My rear end is offset, a comon issue I hear in 3rd Gen Novas. I am running 275/60/15's on 8" rims with 5.5" back space. I have about an inch clearance from the tire to fender well on passenger side, and a 1/16th on drivers side. So I want to slide the rear towards the passenger side about a 1/2 inch?

I have heard of drilling the center pin hole as well to make it "oblong" to move rear over, as well as trimminig the spring perch pads.

Any advice?
Thank you
