Hello All,
I am new to this forum. I need some help finding a magazine. I've tried "looking" all over the place, but I have not been lucky.
About a month or a month and a half ago, I was at a news stand looking through some auto mags when I came across a "magazine/book" that had a comparison of all the new crate engines available to the public from every known engine builder out there. I was going to buy it, but I had to go "on a call" and didn't get a chance to purchase it. I let time go by and now I can't find it. The problem is that I don't remember who it was published by or the name of the mag. It reminded me of one of those "year end" compilations that Hot Rod comes out with once in a while.
Any help with finding this item would be greatly appreciated. THX

I don't know which mag it is, but the lesson here is that if you like a magazine, you should buy it when you have the chance. One of the advantages that print media has over the web is that once you buy it, you'll always have it and know where it is.
As for crate engine builders, if you can tell us what you are looking for (Ford, Chevy, Pontiac, Mopar, big-block, small-block), we should be able to point you in the right direction.

you might get down to the local autozone, CSK , pepboys or what ever you have.. there you will find a magazine spindle display.. those dont get cleaned out as often so you might find a copy there...
i wish that the publishers would put out a monthly update page to upcoming special issues that are going out on the news stands... they would sell a lot more for a few minutes of web set up time....
they could also have a page for the all of the monthly mags upcoming content for people who buy off the rack... ... it might even get more people to subscribe ....
sorry for the cc pun.. it just slipped out...
and how about a prepaid subscription for specials.. that way the subscriber who loves mags does not have to search out those specials.. they could select phr, hr, cc chp... on the subscription form check boxes so they receive just what they want in specials.. and dont miss out...

Thanks Johnny and wayne for the quick reply. I know that I should have bought when I had the chance, but I was on duty when I got the call and I didn't have time. I thought that I would be able to drop by after my shift was over.
Anyway, to answer your question Johnny. I don't know what type of engine I would like to use for my project. As I remember, the magazine had around 20 or so new and different engine brands and combos. Some I remember being from "factory power upgrade options" and the rest were from after market engine builders.
THX once again for the reply.
