I have a delima right now I have a 1996 SS Impala with a LT1 engine. I wanted to go with a twin turbo setup to get 450-500 rwhp but people are telling me with some minor up grades I can do that with out the turbo alot cheaper. I want to put a 393 stroker kit in it and if i decided to upgrade to turbos later the block could handle it. But the 393 compression is so high i can't use if for a turbo application. The second delima is if I add the 393 I don't think that it would take me over the 400rwhp thresh hold that I'm looking for. If I can get the B-Body to hit 400rwhp I'm very happy, 450rwhp I'll wet my pants, 500rwhp I'll turn a back flip because that's what I'm looking for. I know the car is big but I just what people to know when they pull beside me and they see the 393 badge they know that this car means buisness. Right now I have a 100 shot of nos and that lit the fuse I want this car to hit like that naturally. Right now the b-body get 260rwhp I'm trying to get into the 400+. Please provide me with some guidance if possible. Give me a list of part and I can find them

Do you mix rwhp and fwhp ?
I think my 94 camaro LT-1 motor is 275 HP fwhp,  at rear wheels about 15 % less.  Golen racing engines knows good LT-1 motors. I think 9.0 :1 is good compression ratio for charged LT-1 / LT-4 .  My Camaro is now with Lloyd Elliot LE1 heads,
HOt cam kit, bigger injectors etc.. Compression 11.1:1
Ca 350-380 FWHP.
