I have had my 77 pontiac ventura for about a year and half. While recouperating from a seperation from my kids due to my ex's decision. I decided to build something (not realizing that money would be tight) but I am a car guy and do my best thinking under the hood of my car. Anyways, I bought this car with the intentions of pulling the 350 and replacing it with a 455 big block. But seeing how I am in iraq right now it's simply just collecting dust. So I decided to sell it. Nobody has shown any interest in it and I am wondering if this is an investment to hold on to in hopes it will grow in value or move on from. The drivetrain is in good shape and the body is solid. The interior while not original equipped, it does serve the purpose. What's your opinion on this.

How much are you trying to sell it for? the price could be to high.
While, i wouldn't say it's going to bring the same interest as a '68 camaro, or a chevelle, it would be a pretty good sleeper with a big block.

Unfortunately, the disco-era X-bodies don't bring much in the way of money these days.
But, for someone looking for a great budget sleeper project, your car would fit the bill.

Yeah currently at 1500 on craigslist, I've decided to drop in a 383 stroker when I get back into country. But what tranny and rear gears would do best?
