Do you have a car from your past that you regret selling or not buying?
Maybe you found a great deal on a car that wasn't worth much when you saw it, but whos value has skyrocketed since. Maybe your dad owned a bitchin' car that he sold before you could drive?
Let us know about the one that got away!

In '79 I decided to sell my '71 Charger Superbee, 383, 4 speed with the rubber bumper option. The car was bright blue with matching interior. The sad story is, the car was totaled 19 hours later. A day later, I found out I had had one of the rarest Bee's made. I have regreted this mistake ever since. John Bober of www.71superbee.com traced the VIN and found the car, resurrected in '89, two miles from where I once lived. Of course, the car looks nothing like when I owned it. If there ever was a car I wish I had back, it is this one. You can see it at the above site, in Readers Rides. Thanks.

In 1996 I owned an 81 firebird formula charcoal grey and silver with blue outlined strip and and blue formula lettering with a 400 under the hood. I joined the army and on christmas break came home and married my sweet heart. 7 months later traded the car for a family car she could get in and out of due to her being prego. I will never forget the day she said we had to tradeit because why I was away she didn't check the antifreeze or even ask my dad to do it like had asked in her car, hense the motor freezing and busting. She has moved on to lesser things and regret selling that car worse then the day she left me. The things us men do the ones we believe love us. I can say it is a lesson learned. I have a 2000 bonneville ssei now. Not really a sports car like the firebird but something i cheerish just as much and no woman will ever take it away. Nor will I trade it. Wow, I feel so much better now. In closing the reason why divorces cost so much is because they are worth it.
