GM Announced today the return of the Camaro. The car will go on sale the first quarter of 2009. Are you saving up for the Camaro? or will you wait for the Dodge Challenger?

Lets just hope Gm doesn't shoot them self in the foot and overprice it like they did with the GTO, and the dealers raping everyone that buys one the first year. I had to wait almost two years before I could get my 94 Z-28 without paying over sticker.

Yeah, I think that they are probably going to overprice it just like the GTO, but I don't think it will stop people from buying them.

GM needs to get their collective heads out of their collective behinds and make a car like the original 67 Firebird/Camaro. A lightweight budget hot rod. Something the generation that wants to play, race, drive and enjoy the car AFFORD it. They price the car so freaking high that the average joe cannot afford.
If GM priced it a around the Cobalt SS ($18K to $22K) and had a V8, keep it barebones like a Formula Firebird, and they would sell millions of them. Keep a budget version, say like the Sprint 6 Firebird, giving it the Trans AM suspension with the lighter 6cyl say a Vortec 4200, and make some performance parts available like a turbo.
They wouldn't be able to keep a single one on the showroom.
Scion (read Toyota) has it right, make a car that has customization like performance parts, looks, suspensions, etc, that are factory designed and intended. And easy availability. So you get factory quality, and well designed parts.
GM has this mentality to price the crap out of the car and make it "high profit margins" and sell a few of them. They just keep missing the boat. The GTO proves it. The 4th gen F-Body and late 3rd gen F-Body prove it.
