hey im workin on a 1991 sbc 350 to put into my 1978 truck... im wondering on what would be a better way to go. flex fan or clutch fan....... also if a clutch fan is better i have a question..... the stock way of attaching the clutch to the water pump pulley is some double sided bolts and nuts..... i dont have these and i cant find any anywhere so is there any reason that i cant use regular water pump pulley bolts to keep the clutch on the pulley??

I have had both types on my 350 with vortec heads and I can say that the clutch  fan is by far the better choice. It might make a difference also with how many blades you are running on your fan. I am running a eight blade fan with an edelbrock water pump. Hope this shines some light in your direction.  edin355
