ive got a 92 caprice (old cop car) and its got well over 200+k miles. its on its second engine (the second one wasnt new so its not very powerful) but it does get amazing gas mileage for being a v-8. (25-30 hw) but im looking for more ummmmmph right now. im looking at keeping the TBI. but i would like 300-400 hp or so. but i have a few questions.

will my fuel pump and injectors keep up with the power im looking for.

and i was wondering if anyone i have a hydralic or mechanical roller cam (i know its roller but)

and does anyone know how much lift my stock aluminum heads can take. i figured .500 " but i would like pretty much a mid/high lift with sacrificing the longevity of my engine.

another crazy question about my compression ratio. i would like to go about 10-10:5 or so but im not sure what octane rating i would need to run it. bc there is also a sweet deal on a set of 11:5 i found, but im pretty sure i cant afford racing gas right now. hahaha.
