I enjoy very much the technical expertise and explanations on technical issues by David Vizard.  I would love to see an article and explanation about Variable Valve Timing and how it works, pro and con etc.

You may have gotten your answer on VTEC, but if you like pushrod engines, check into rhoads or crane cams variable duration ("bleed down")lifters.
