I have a 1989 firebird with a 305 TBI in it and I am planning an upgrade to the engine. In the winter edition of ENGINE MASTERS there was an article called "Hate Me" about the 305, and there were insinuations that ther could be more power pulled from the 305, I would like to know the formula so that I can perform this to my engine. Also, I want to put in a manual tranny in it, do I need to change the computer with it or is it just a straight mechanical swap? Thanks!
