hey howareya?, yes i have to keep driving it as it's my sole transportation at this time..i have been to the tourass car club website, they have had this problem, it's a bad foward piston. seems ford beefed them up in '95 and of course mine is a '93.                                                 i just started a new job as sales consultant at saturn of henderson (nevada)so if i can sell enough cars this month, and the tranny holds out, i'll get a new daily driver.saturn has some great new cars, wish me luck or send me customers,        thanks nickyb.............

hey all,                                           you gotta be kidding me, 2000 to 2200 to rebuild the tranny.       the freekin engine has to be removed to take out the trans.     never a fwd car for me again....p.s. the 700r4 with a new 3200 stall lockup converter was way less.the hotrod must go back on the road sooooooon...i need my horsepower fix.

This im sorry is not a cheap or easy fix.  I am no trans 'expert' but I can say with condfidence from first hand expierence that you have one of or a combination of; either the trans valve body (downshift) and the 2-1 clutch is gone.
Either way, its commin part!

hey yall, this p.o.s. tourass is not worth the price of the tranny rebuild.     i only paid the original owner 2g's for it almost 10k miles ago.it's a shame the body's mint, and she runs like a top. so far i've tried not to run her to long, only to work (7miles) and 7 back.  i'll have a talk with the used car manager, maybe i can trade for one of the cars he's gonna send to auction,ya know something fugly but runs good.
