My hemi has a lifter tick (as do many from what i've read)and I'm getting ready to replace all of the lifters. Any help would be great as far as what to look out for. It won't be hard except bending over into the engine compartment. I can't find any after market lifters and am still woundering why mine are noisie after only 20,000 miles

Does your engine have MDS (cylinder deactivation)? The lifters are different on those engines--and no, there are none available from the aftermarket.

check real close on the type of lubricants you are using. some motor oils are much too light for "real" use and can start premature wear internally. the 5/w20, and 5w30 oils are good for fuel economy, although if you do a load / wear analysis you will see that the true life expectancy of this type motor oil is only slightly more than about 800 miles.light fluids such as these are great to assist the auto makers to meet C.A.F.E. requirements but do nothing to prolong the life of your engine. a good commercial grade 10/w30 has a pour point of around "minus 46 degrees"and will deliver very strong anti wear, anti friction agents to your engine components.
